ABOUT THE NCDWC
The National Construction and Demolition Waste Council was established by the Forum for the Construction Industry on the recommendation of the Task Force B4 - (Recycling of Construction and Demolition Waste) as approved by the Minister for Environment and Local Government in his letter dated the 11th December 2001.

The role of the Council is to provide a framework to achieve compliance with the policy and targets as set out by the Minister for the environment and Local Government in the Policy Document "Changing our Ways" and such other policies as may be set from time to time by the Minister. The Council will seek to implement the recommendations of Task Force B4 "Recycling of Construction and Demolition Waste". The Council shall also carry out research, prepare action plans and give advice and guidance in relation to all matters of Construction and Demolition Waste and shall also make recommendations on the measures/steps that might be taken to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
